  4. Equipment Selection and Use
     – Types of fall protection equipment (harnesses, lanyards, anchor points)
     – Proper fitting and adjustment of harnesses
     – Inspection and maintenance of equipment
     – Don harnesses
  5. Practical Fall Arrest Inspections
     – Hands-on inspection of fall arrest equipment
     – Identifying defects and signs of wear
     – Documentation and reporting procedures
  6. Fall Protection Plans and Procedures
     – Developing and implementing fall protection plans

Course Assessment

Individuals must achieve minimum 70% on the closed book written exam.

Who Should Attend?

This course is ideal for workers, supervisors, and safety professionals who work at heights or are responsible for implementing and overseeing fall protection measures in their workplace. No prior experience is required, making it suitable for both new and experienced personnel.

Certification

Upon successful completion of the course, participants will receive a Fall Protection End User certificate, recognized by Alberta OHS.
